WHEN TO TAKE A TOBAGO VACATION?
Located only a few degrees from the equator, the island of Tobago enjoys a very tropical climate with sun shining all year round and trade winds keeping the atmosphere cool and comfortable. Tobago has two seasons: the Dry Season (with Trinidad And Tobago Carnival ) that extends from December to May, and the Wet Season between June and November.
The best time to travel is December-May, when the breeze is cool and it’s least rainy. Daytime temperatures stay in the 80s F, with nights in the 60s-70s F. Moreover, the great Tobago carnival, an annual event celebrated on the Monday and Tuesday in March, also takes place during this season. Due to the winds, it hardly ever feels excessively hot when one goes out dancing with the locals. Moreover, the days are clear and even if there is any rainfall it happens around dawn. This keeps this great beach vacation spot lush and green. However, it’s advised to take a jacket or a sweater because evenings tend to cool off.
The Off Season:
Not everyone wants the same things from their Tobago vacation, while some might be interested in dancing to the local tunes, some may be keener in witnessing thunder storms and the baking summer. The best time to experience the forceful rolling of wind and water is during the off season when the tides are high and people are less. Thunderstorms do make for a thrilling experience in the island.
Apart from this, places in and around Tobago can be enjoyed all year round, no matter what the weather conditions. However, what matters is the kind of accommodation one stays at. Bacolet beach club, a boutique hotel close to the city of Scarborough is a great place to be all year long. The beach vacation resort offers a private beach, great food and service and also arranges for tourist excursions in and around Tobago. Visit www.tobagobeachresort.net for more information.
