Kelleston Drain

Kelleston Drain, located in Speyside is one of Tobago’s favorite dive sites which ranges from 30 to 65 feet deep. Its main attraction is a huge brain coral measuring 10 feet high and 16 feet in diameter, said to be the largest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere, which you get to see at the fag end of a challenging dive. This brain coral is reputedly over 900 years old with grooves and ridges which closely resemble the formation of a brain. Kelleston Drain’s nutrient rich water is known for its abundant growth of soft coral and sponges. You always get to see Jack fish and Creole Wrasse, and if you are lucky you might even glimpse a Nurse shark or Giant Green Moray eel. Kelleston Drain is just one of Tobago’s renowned dive sites.
