Delightful Tobago
The beautiful island of Tobago is believed to be an inspiration behind Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Treasure Island’. Mountainous interiors, thickly forested, beautiful sandy beaches, stunning coral reefs and world class bird-watching indeed makes it a treasure island of natural beauty. What's more, since it is still preserved from industrialization, life here is slow and easy. In fact, Tobago is suggestive of the un-spoilt Caribbean of two decades ago, and the Island’s friendly charm and copious natural beauty will win over any heart and attract visitors to come back to this fabulous place again and again.
Diving:
Marine life flourishes in Tobago’s warm, nutrient-rich waters, with queen angels, butterfly fish, parrotfish and damsels swimming around in swarms. The island definitely offers the best of both worlds, with Atlantic diving on one coast and Caribbean Sea diving on the other. Most of the diving done here are drift dives, which means that you leave your boat at the start point, and it floats after you as the current drifts you along. Some of the famous dive spots include- Manta City, Keleston Drain, Japanese Gardens, Blackjack Hole, London Bridge, Buccoo Reef, the Sisters, Paradise, the Shallows, Diver's Dream and Diver's Thirst.
Delightfully situated near the capital Scarborough with views towards the Caribbean and famous Bacolet bay is the Bacolet Beach Club. The paradise is approximately 15 minutes from the airport and at the heart of the property is a large infinity pool complete with attendants, bar and snacks and light lunches that are catered for. The décor of this boutique hotel is an amalgamation of contemporary and oriental and the rooms consist of balconies that overlook the magnificent bay. Bacolet Beach Club is definitely the place to stay if one wants to enjoy a quiet vacation.
