The Bacolet Beach Club offers a divine retreat where you become one with the tropical ambience, where the food of love is satiated with the soul food of Tobago and where the sun coaxes out the warmth of the essence of hospitality. Designed with perfection and creativity by Gloria Knapp-Jones, a former model, the Bacolet Beach Club as a boutique Hotel, Restaurant and Bar has also been a getaway for the creative team at The Style Magazine of the New York Times, an affluent lifestyle magazine besides being mentioned in the New York Times. Wrapped with romance and luxury, the Bacolet Beach Club has been sculpted to be a perfect hideaway awash with the scents of the tropics and lit by the fires of passion.

Rich with the hues of culture, tradition and history, the tropical islands of Tobago and Trinidad whip up a melee of festivals with one more colorful than the other to offer the locals and the visitors facets of talent, music, cuisines and the love of all things bright and beautiful. 'One More Wine' (Carnival Costume & Cooler Party) @ St John's Hall overflows with the razzle and dazzle of the tropical isles and spills over into the streets of Port of Spain. The Tobago International Muhtadi Drumming Festival at the Dwight Yorke Stadium brings in the vibration of percussionists from all over the globe.

Power, Pleasure and Passion

Cutting foamy lines of froth, the Carib Great Race brings in an admiring crowd with power boat racing followed by a string of lively parties and activities at Storebay, Tobago. The Ancestral Walk takes place at 14th Mt. Irvine Bay and the Castara Fisherman's Fete is enlivened by an all day beach party with visitors being enchanted with the Itsy Bitsy Folk Theatre every Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant. With the solemn yet scintillating Santa Rosa festival, the islanders celebrate the culture of the Amerindians of the Caribbean in memory of the patron saint of the Caribs, Rosa De Lima. As a pleasure to nature lovers, the Leatherback Turtle Season goes on from March to the end of August where one can see the leatherback turtles lumbering ashore and laying their eggs in sandy pits.

As the piece de resistance, the merrymaking culminates in the celebration of the Independence Day on 31 August which is a national holiday with a grand parade in the morning followed by a colorful display of fireworks in the evening. With the creative and artistic facets of the islands of Tobago and Trinidad opening out a world of fantasy in incredible costumes at a magnificent carnival party on Independence Day, the tropical isles rejoice with the spirit of freedom as strains of the Caribbean soca echo around the islands and night turns into day with brilliant fireworks. The Bacolet Beach Club welcomes all the party revelers to relax and raise a toast to another spell of a magical time in the dream islands of Tobago and Trinidad.
