Created with perfection and sophistication, the Bacolet Beach Club in the Caribbean Island of Tobago has the essence of a great getaway. Offering a dream vacation, this beautiful boutique Hotel, Restaurant and Bar in Tobago is owned by former model, Gloria Jones-Knapp. The Bacolet Beach Club undulates over the soft curves of a hill down to a sandy beach which is private and serene. Interesting and intriguing, Tobago has been considered as one of the most beautiful holiday spots in the world. With fabulous scenery and an eventful history, Tobago was inhabited by the Arawaks and Caribs tribes. Then the French and the Dutch took over. The British, French, Dutch and Courlanders took turns in its colonization, but the British reigned over Tobago in the early 18th century. Finally, the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago gained independence in 1962 and Tobago became a republic in 1976. Over the years, these Caribbean islands became a melting pot of many cultures whose influence is seen in the many festivals, cuisines and many-faceted activities, but the innate warm hospitality of the Caribbean islanders has been an outstanding feature.
